U.S. & China trade talks resume Friday

The White House says trade talks with the Chinese delegation are

continuing. 

Deputy Press Secretary Judd Deere issued a statement saying, “This evening, Ambassador Lighthizer and

Secretary Mnuchin met with President Trump to discuss the ongoing trade

negotiations with China. The Ambassador and Secretary then had a working dinner

with Vice Premier Liu He, and agreed to continue discussions tomorrow (Friday)

morning at USTR.” 

President Trump has threatened to impose additional tariffs on Chinese

goods Friday unless a deal is reached, and the Chinese have threatened to add

retaliatory tariffs when that happens.  As

of Thursday night, Neither the White House or the USTR have commented about

additional tariffs.
