U.S. ethanol production last week backed off from the recent high levels.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration says production averaged 1.02 million barrels a day, 67,000 less than the previous week with policy uncertainties about the Renewable Fuel Standard and a lack of public progress from the EPA on a year-round E15 use proposal from the Trump administration. That’s the second lowest weekly average since mid-to-late April.
Stocks climbed 191,000 barrels to 22.984 million.
