The U.S. House has advanced a package of six appropriations bills that would fund several federal agencies, including the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
The ag appropriations bill includes several provisions; fully funding the Women, Infants and Children Program and giving USDA’s Farm Service Agency more money to better track U.S. foreign ag land ownership.
The package will now be considered in the U.S. Senate, which must pass it by midnight on Saturday to avoid a partial government shutdown.
