U.S. pork wants expansion and improvements to existing markets

The vice president of international affairs at the National Pork Producers Council says expanding and improving existing markets will be priorities in the New Year.

Maria Zieba says the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework could benefit the U.S. pork industry, setting sanitary and phytosanitary standards.

“We’ll have to see how it all ends up, but when you’re trying to export product, it’s important to know the rules of the game and within IPEF, it’s what the negotiators are trying to achieve, but on the technical side.”
