U.S. trade authorities are promoting stronger alliances with Asia Pacific countries like Vietnam, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and Energy Secretary Rick Perry outlined an aggressive plan during a meeting at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce headquarters in Washington Monday.
Pompeo, who is traveling to Malaysia later this week, says the Trump Administration is preparing to invest $113 million to help the region further develop infrastructure, energy production, and digital economies.
