Ukrainian farmer Kees Huizinga says he’s had a productive growing season.
“Harvest of the small grains and oilseeds should be finished by the end of July or beginning of August,” he said. “It can be very hot and dry here over the summer, so depending on the weather we will start with soybeans, flour, and silage corn for the dairy.”
He tells Brownfield his corn crop looks better than expected. “We will be finishing harvesting corn for grain at the end of November.”
