The University of Nebraska has received public and private funding to build a facility to compliment a USDA research center.
President Ted Carter tells Brownfield the USDA facility will explore precision agriculture, technology, innovation and policy. “What we want to do is create our own research arm of that and that it would focus specifically on Nebraska, again, with research space to that additional work.”
He says state appropriated $50 million dollars and with matching funds and the center will help the University explore “things like regenerative and resilient land properties.
