Upper Midwest grain quality better than expected

An agronomist in the Upper Midwest is confident about grain
quality despite wet harvest conditions.

Adam Spelhaug is with North Dakota-based Peterson Farms Seed.

“The grain quality is there, so I think drying, storage, and those issues we sometimes have with poor quality corn that maybe froze early, that kind of stuff, I don’t think we’re going to be going through that. So I think that’s a benefit to this later, wetter crop.”

He tells Brownfield another seasonal surprise locally has been the strengthening cash market.
