President Trump is following through on his vow to impose additional tariffs on $200 billion worth of Chinese goods.
U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer says he is supportive of the new tariffs. In a statement, he said that the U.S. has been clear about the changes that need to happen, but no move has been made by China to address its unfair trading practices.
Many ag groups have said they are concerned about the tariffs.
