The USDA says its indices of prices paid and received didn’t change much from May to June.
The index of prices received was up 0.1%, with crop and livestock also posting fractional increases, 0.7% and 0.2%, respectively, supported by higher prices for hogs, broilers, market eggs, and oranges, against lower prices for corn, soybeans, cattle, and cauliflower. The USDA also reported increased marketings for corn, wheat, hay, and peaches, and decreases for broilers, milk, oranges, and tomatoes.
