The USDA has narrowed the list of applicants for the
Economic Research Service (ERS) and National Institute of Food and Agriculture
(NIFA) office relocation to: the Greater Kansas City area, several locations in
Indiana (including Purdue University), and the Research Triangle Region of
North Carolina.
Ag Secretary Perdue says the top applicants have existing
buildings with enough space and they meet quality of life, workforce and cost
considerations.
Two applicants remain in the running if the others don’t pan
out.
