Critics of the Biden administration say it hasn’t been committed to investing in trade, but an administration official says that isn’t the case. “We are doing it,” says USDA Undersecretary for Trade and Foreign Ag Affairs Alexis Taylor. “We’re just doing it in a different way than we’ve seen in the past.”
She says the administration is fully committed to ensuring US agricultural goods have better access to global markets. “For instance, in India, we’ve reduced eight tariffs for our livestock producers,” Taylor says.
