The USDA says it will be resurveying producers in 14 U.S. states to get a more accurate assessment of planted acreage because of the historically slow planting place.
That includes corn and soybean producers in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin, in addition to Kansas, New York, and North Dakota, cotton producers in Arkansas and sorghum producers in Kansas.
The updated numbers will be published in the USDA’s Crop Production report scheduled for Monday, August 12th at Noon Eastern/11 Central.
