The USDA has increased the 2019 winter wheat production estimate slightly from last month. The new projection is 1.275 billion bushels, up less than 1% from May, but 8% above a year ago, with the average yield 0.2 bushels per acre higher on the month at 50.5 bushels, and harvested area at 25.214 million acres. In 2018, winter wheat totaled 1.184 billion bushels with an average yield of 47.9 bushels per acre and harvested area of 24.742 million acres.
