A west-central Minnesota crop farmer says weed control has been hit and miss this spring.
Kirby Hettver of De Graff tells Brownfield cold, wet conditions delayed planting and forced him to change up his weed management strategy.
“Just based on weed pressure that we saw at the time of planting. We made some minor changes, minor tweaks, and hopefully we’ll get things where we want them.”
He says now that planting is finished, his herbicide program should straighten out.
