U.S. ethanol production climbed last week, while stocks dropped.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration says production averaged 1.064 million barrels a day, up 31,000 from the previous week, as operations at some plants resumed following the Independence Day holiday. Stocks were down 625,000 barrels on the week at 21.768 million as summer driving season continues.
Corn for ethanol use remains on pace to meet or exceed the USDA’s projection for the current marketing year.
