U.S. ethanol production was higher last week and stocks got slightly tighter.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration says production averaged 1.028 million barrels a day, up 32,000 on the week. The Renewable Fuels Association says annual production is expected to top 15 billion gallons, if the pace of production holds at or near current levels. The industry continues to monitor margins, while waiting for year-round E15 implementation and watching for potential changes in EPA policy.
