A lot of farmers are having to pick and choose where they can plant based on field conditions. Winfield United agronomist Jon Zuk recommends evaluating the worst parts of fields first. “We know those spots, so go to the waterways. Go to the places where you know you have tile issues, those sorts of things. If those aren’t marginal, now you know where to start triaging the rest of the field and what could be fit.” Another recommendation is to give the soil a chance to dry after cultivating.
