Another wet week slows planting progress for Tennessee farmers.
Corn is 86 percent planted, and 62 percent emerged. Soybeans are 53 percent planted, and 34 percent emerged. Cotton is 52 percent planted and 1 percent squared.
Winter wheat is 93 percent headed and 45 percent coloring, with 80 percent rated good to excellent.
With all the moisture this spring, pastures look good, and are rated 74% good to excellent. But, many producers are waiting for conditions to dry out so they can cut and bale hay.
Topsoil and subsoil moisture are both called 97 percent adequate to surplus.
