Wet weather continues to complicate planting in Minnesota.
USDA’s latest weekly crop report says rain the majority of the week allowed for less than three days of fieldwork statewide.
Despite a slow week, corn planting remains ahead of the usual pace at 89 percent. Fifty-eight percent of the crop has emerged, and 75 percent is considered to be in good to excellent condition.
Soybeans are 72 percent planted, one day slower than a year ago but two days faster than the usual pace.
