A University of Wisconsin crop pathologist says the risk of white mold for soybeans remains pretty high right now. All of Wisconsin except for the Door County peninsula is under medium or very high risk according to models and maps developed by the Universities of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Iowa State. The maps show irrigated fields with 15-inch rows in central and southwest Wisconsin are at the highest risk.
Dr. Damon Smith says the white mold risk is expected to dissipate some over the next week with the warm and dry weather.
