At the Chicago
Mercantile Exchange, live cattle futures ended the day lower on the lack of direction
from the cash trade and mixed wholesale values at midday. Feeder cattle futures closed lower on the
same factors and ongoing supply concerns.
June live cattle closed $.55 lower at $114.25 and August live cattle
closed $.77 lower at $111.77. May feeder
cattle closed $1.80 lower at $141.60 and August feeder cattle closed $1.92
lower at $149.15.
Direct Cash cattle trade activity remains at a standstill.
