Wisconsin cheesemakers took home 24 awards at the World Cheese Awards in Bergen, Norway. That’s about a quarter of the awards going to United States producers.
The World Cheese Awards received a record-breaking 3,500 entries in its 30th year.
Deer Creek Cheese received a Major Winner award for Best Vintage Cheddar. Roth Cheese picked up seven awards, Sartori Cheese six awards, and four for Carr Valley Cheese. Other Wisconsin winners included Marieke Gouda, V&V Supremo Foods, and Ponderosa Dairy Products.
