Some of Wisconsin’s harvest is being delayed by higher moisture levels in the late maturing crops.
USDA statisticians say the corn for grain harvest is 50% finished with moisture levels averaging 21%. That’s two days behind average. The corn condition remains 54% good to excellent, the same as last week.
Wisconsin’s soybean harvest is 83% finished. That’s only a day behind average.
The winter wheat crop is now 97% planted, with 81% of that crop emerged. That’s four days ahead of average. USDA reporters say the crop condition is 67% good to excellent, two percent better than last week.
