Wisconsin’s egg production remains below month-ago and year-ago levels. USDA’s National Ag Statistics Service says the November production was 144 million eggs, which is down 3% from October but 20% lower than November of 2021. The year-to-year drop might be tied to highly pathogenic avian influenza, which took over a million laying hens from a single producer last winter.
Wisconsin milk production in November totaled 2.58 billion pounds, up one percent from a year ago.
