Wisconsin Farm Bureau members are reflecting on a successful year and setting new policy goals for 2024.
President Kevin Krenz told more than one thousand members attending their annual meeting many important issues still need to be addressed at the federal, state, and local levels. “Issues like labor, the farm bill, alternative energies, federal milk marketing orders, health care, consumer concerns. All have unique opportunities and challenges moving forward.”
The delegates are debating and voting on resolutions Monday, including proposals opposing foreign ag land ownership, support for beginning farmers purchasing land, and opposing farmland preservation tax credits for solar energy facilities on farmland.
