Wisconsin Farm Bureau votes to “consider” possible dairy supply management

Wisconsin Farm Bureau members are not pushing for dairy supply management, but they are willing to consider it.

Paul Zimmerman with Wisconsin Farm Bureau tells Brownfield Monday’s lively floor discussion led to policy language that opens the door for possible changes.  “They adopted language that we’re willing to consider, where that way, our dairy committee, our board of directors, and membership themselves can look at what they want to have for the dairy industry going forward.”

The resolution calling for the development of a supply management system was amended to only “consider” it.
