Most Wisconsin farmers were able to get in the fields last week to try and catch up after a cool and wet beginning of spring. USDA reporters say just over 5 days were suitable for fieldwork last week with some areas able to till, spread, and seed all week. Southern Wisconsin was slowed by some weekend rain.
As of Sunday, tillage is 69% finished, 33% of the soybeans are planted, and 56% of corn is planted.
