The USDA says most of Wisconsin’s farmers were spraying and haying when weather permitted last week. Some Far southern Wisconsin had rain limit access to fields, and far northern Wisconsin experienced widespread flood damage from a weekend of storms that ended last Monday.
Far northern counties are still working on first crop hay, while many central and southern counties are starting to cut their second crop.
The condition of Wisconsin’s corn crop is slightly below last week, with 87% of it in good to excellent shape.
