Wisconsin’s state FSA Director says they are prepared to help other states dealing with disasters. Sandy Chalmers tells Brownfield, “We’ll be ready to go when we’re asked.”

Chalmers says when there is a widespread disaster such as the flooding in Nebraska and Iowa, FSA offices in other states work together to back up the hard-hit areas. “We send out experts into disaster states and just help with the workload.”
No matter what state they’re in, Chalmers suggests farmers reach out to their local FSA office to find out what assistance best fits their situation.
