Wisconsin grew more snap beans, peas, and pumpkins in ’21

Wisconsin’s production of snap beans, pumpkins, and green peas was higher in 2021, while the state’s sweet corn and carrot production were down.

USDA’s National Ag Statistics Service says Wisconsin remains the top producer of snap beans harvesting more than 52-thousand acres totaling nearly 6.7 million hundredweight.  That’s more than the next three states, New York, Michigan, and Oregon combined.

Wisconsin is number three nationally in sweet corn production even with a drop in total production from 2020.
