Wisconsin harvest activity continues

Wisconsin harvest activity continues

Wisconsin farmers had good weather early last week, allowing combines to roll and some fall tillage and planting work, too.

USDA reporters say 98% of the soybeans are dropping leaves, and harvest is 69% finished.  Harvest is about four days ahead of average.

The corn for grain harvest is now 24% finished in Wisconsin, which is two days behind average.  The average moisture content for the week was 23%, and 50% of the corn crop was reported as good to excellent.  The corn silage harvest is 96% finished, which is a week ahead of average.
