Wisconsin “lemon law” for farm equipment introduced

A lemon law proposal for agricultural equipment has been introduced in Wisconsin.  State Senator Jerry Petrowski says his bill would give buyers and leasers of implements of husbandry the same protections Wisconsin car and truck buyers get. “If you spend a lot of money on a tractor and it doesn’t function and you’ve taken it back to the dealer four times and it still doesn’t do the job that it’s supposed to, you should be entitled to a refund or get a different tractor or whatever.”

Petrowski says he is receiving more complaints from farmers about faulty new farm equipment.
