Wisconsin’s Governor undecided on ag bills

Wisconsin’s Legislature presented several bills to Governor Tony Evers Thursday, and several of them are agriculture-related.

During the dedication of the new Food + Farm Exploration Center in Plover Thursday evening, Evers told Brownfield he has not yet reviewed the bills. “From what I understand, the bills have lots of bipartisan support, which is always really important to me, so I’m looking forward to taking a look at that hopefully tomorrow morning, and then we’ll make some decisions.”

Evers says he’s encouraged by the bipartisan efforts on several of the agricultural bills but wants to review the language before possibly signing any of them into law.
