A 19-year-old was killed, while her brother was seriously injured in a buggy crash early Monday morning in Lafayette County, Wisconsin.
The crash happened just after 3 a.m. on Highway 11, about 10 miles north of Gratiot.
According to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office, the buggy was being pulled by a single horse when it was hit from behind by a semi-truck.
The impact of the crash killed 19-year-old Fannie King and the horse. Her 30-year-old brother, Samuel King, was seriously injured and was airlifted to a hospital in Madison.
The driver of the semi-truck was not hurt.
The sheriff’s office said the buggy was “demolished” and the semi had moderate damage.
