AAA anticipates the second-busiest holiday travel season on record, with approximately 372,000 people expected to leave home in South Dakota.
While most will opt for driving, over 16,000 South Dakotans plan to fly.
AAA cautions that last-minute air travel options and deals will be scarce, and predicts peak travel times in the afternoons between Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
