A fire broke out in the meat cooler of the Walmart in Vermillion on Tuesday afternoon.
Walmart employees were quick to respond, using a fire extinguisher to contain the blaze before official first responders arrived.
Vermillion Fire Department, assisted by neighboring departments, arrived to find light smoke and initiated evacuation procedures.
The fire, determined to be accidental and electrical in nature, resulted in damage to the meat cooler.
After an hour, the fire was successfully controlled, and no injuries were reported.
