A man wanted for domestic violence in Lead was apprehended in Deadwood after a series of events, including a high-speed collision with a patrol car just after noon on Thursday, the theft of another vehicle in Lawrence County, and a short pursuit in Rapid City.
The incident left one officer injured but both Deadwood officers are reported to be okay, and no other injuries were reported.
