Two men have been arrested in connection with a shooting incident that occurred in downtown Sioux Falls early Sunday morning.
The incident involved a man on a bicycle exchanging words with individuals in a Jeep Cherokee, leading to two gunshots fired at the victim.
The victim was not injured and sought shelter behind a parked vehicle.
Police received a description of the suspects’ vehicle and later encountered it in response to another call about gunshots.
Upon stopping the Jeep Cherokee, the suspects attempted to flee, but both were arrested by the authorities.
One suspect, 19-year-old Connor Shockey from Sioux Falls, was identified as the shooter in the downtown incident and was arrested on multiple charges, including Reckless Discharge of a Firearm and Aggravated Assault.
The other suspect, 21-year-old Adrian Soltero, was charged with being an accessory.
There was no prior connection between the victim and the suspects.
