According to Sioux Falls police, a body was discovered in a wooded area near Sertoma Park on Wednesday night.
Authorities are currently in the process of identifying the remains, which belong to a 58-year-old man.
At this stage, the death does not appear to be suspicious. However, it is important to note that investigations are still underway to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the man’s passing.
When the body was found, a portion of the wooded area near 49th Street and Sertoma Park was cordoned off, and nearby roads were closed to the public to facilitate the police investigation.
The discovery was made by an individual participating in a scavenger hunt, who stumbled upon the remains and promptly alerted the police.
