Bomb Threat Prompts Evacuation of Flandreau School on Second Day of Classes

On the second day of the school year, Flandreau Public School faced a bomb threat, leading to the evacuation of all 720 students to the Tribal Community Center.

Responding to a male caller’s threat received at 9:15 am on Tuesday, various agencies ensured the safety of the students while they were away from the school premises.

The school district’s website alerted parents of the situation, assuring everyone’s safety but not disclosing the specific cause for the evacuation.

Once the “all clear” signal is given, students will return to the school.

Later Tuesday afternoon, the school announced it received a bomb threat for a second time.
