22-year-old Jamison Lee Stein of Brookings is facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, after a hit-and-run incident involving a motorized wheelchair.
Stein, identified as the operator of the vehicle, fled the scene and later pulled a knife on a police officer during an arrest.
The incident occurred on South Main Avenue, resulting in charges such as felony hit-and-run and second offense DUI.
Stein is currently held in the Brookings County Detention Center on a $20,000 bond.
