Convicted Sex Offender to Plead Guilty in Attempted Online Enticement Case

Joshua Catron, a 34-year-old convicted sex offender, has signed federal documents admitting to attempting to entice a person he believed to be a 15-year-old girl for sexual purposes over the internet.

However, it was an undercover investigator.

A plea date is pending, and upon sentencing, Catron may face a prison term ranging from ten years to life.

Catron’s criminal history includes a 2016 conviction for raping a 15-year-old girl in Minnehaha County, and he is currently on parole according to the Department of Corrections website.
