Corn Palace Festival Begins Wednesday With Five Days of Music, Rides and Family Fun

MITCHELL, S.D. – The 2026 Corn Palace Festival gets underway Wednesday in Mitchell with five days of entertainment, live music, rides, vendors and family activities.

The festival runs Wednesday, Aug. 26, through Sunday, Aug. 30.

Wednesday’s schedule includes VFW-Legion Bingo from 3 to 10 p.m. at the Corn Palace Armory, with vendors and rides opening from 5 to 11 p.m.

Thursday features vendors from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., VFW-Legion Bingo from 1 to 10 p.m. and rides from 4 to 11 p.m. Todd will perform a free show at the Corn Palace Plaza from 7 to 9 p.m.

Friday’s events include vendors from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., VFW-Legion Bingo from 1 to 7 p.m. and rides from 4 to 11 p.m. Logan Culhane will perform from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by Andy Grammer with Audri Vargas at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday includes the Farmers Market from 9 to 11 a.m., vendors from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and rides from noon to 11 p.m. VFW-Legion Bingo runs from noon to 7 p.m. at the Corn Palace Armory.

Saturday’s additional activities include the Kids Pedal Pull at 1 p.m., Phil Baker from 1 to 3 p.m. and Layton Lee Band from 5 to 7 p.m., with both free shows at the Corn Palace Plaza. Cole Swindell, with Julie Eddy, will take the stage at 7:30 p.m.

The festival concludes Sunday with a community worship service hosted by Life Church at 10 a.m. Vendors and rides will be open from noon to 5 p.m. The Mitchell Municipal Band will perform from 1 to 3 p.m., and VFW-Legion Bingo will run from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Corn Palace Armory.
