Dakota Wesleyan University Opens New Nursing Facility to Address South Dakota’s Nursing Shortage

Dakota Wesleyan University, in collaboration with Monument Health, has unveiled a new nursing facility in Rapid City to help combat South Dakota’s nursing shortage.

The facility will offer in-person classes for nursing students, with general courses available online.

The program focuses on hands-on experience, including 10-hour clinical days and simulations to enhance learning.

Classes are small, with just 24 students per cohort, ensuring a personalized and supportive learning environment.

The next class starts in August, and spaces are limited.
