Police are conducting an investigation into a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred in southeast Sioux Falls.
The incident took place at the intersection of South Sycamore Avenue and East 53rd Street, where a 19-year-old motorcyclist traveling southbound left the road and collided with a sign shortly before 12:30 a.m. on Saturday.
The motorcyclist died at the scene despite wearing a helmet and other safety gear. A
s part of their investigation, officers closed traffic in the area to facilitate their work at the scene.
