A 29-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash Sunday evening east of White, South Dakota.
The crash happened around 7 p.m. on 486th Avenue. A 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle and a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle were traveling south on the road when the lead motorcycle lost control going around a curve. The second motorcycle rear-ended the lead motorcycle, and both motorcycles came to rest in the west ditch.
The 29-year-old male driver of the second motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. The 32-year-old male driver of the lead motorcycle was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
Neither driver was wearing a helmet, and alcohol use is under investigation. South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
The names of the victims have not been released pending notification of family members.
