A 15-year-old girl, Sarah Erickson, died after falling from a pickup truck that was being driven recklessly in a Rapid City parking lot.
The incident occurred at 2721 Canyon Lake Drive, and police received a call at 12:05 a.m. on Friday, August 11.
Bystanders were performing CPR when the police arrived.
Sarah had climbed onto the pickup truck, which was driving erratically, and fell from the hood, resulting in her becoming unresponsive.
The Rapid City Police Department’s Reconstruction Team is currently investigating the case.
