One person died Thursday evening in a one-vehicle crash 20 miles south of Colome, S.D.
The name of the person has not been released pending notification of family members.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates a 2002 Honda motorcycle was traveling north on U.S. Highway 183 near mile marker 1 when the driver failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway, and rolled, ejecting the 70-year-old male driver.
The driver sustained fatal injuries. He was wearing a helmet.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.
