A stolen vehicle report in Lincoln County led authorities to the scene of a triple fatality accident on 291st Street early on Saturday morning.
The stolen vehicle, originating from a nearby farm, was suspected to be involved in an accident.
A Deputy discovered a Dodge pickup truck that had rolled multiple times, resulting in two immediate fatalities and a third on the scene.
The fourth occupant left the scene, stole another vehicle, and was later located with injuries at a residence in Beresford.
The ongoing investigation involves multiple law enforcement agencies, including the South Dakota Highway Patrol and local sheriff’s offices.
